Movie Log 2012
3/12: Attenberg (Athena Rachel Tsangari, 2012)
A new Greek movie in which the acquisition of language and meaning is central to the development of its younger characters. However, this one seems to entertain the notion that playing with language and can be a useful way of proceeding and coming to some sort of understanding about one’s self and the (Greek, post-industrial) world. Also, it’s a coming of age tale about a girl who likes to do funny synchronized walks with her best friend.
